HOW TO PACK FOR VACATION -summer edition

Summer is here, and right now, I am packing for my seaside  vacation again in Baška, on Island Krk. I will be there for about one month, working and having fun. Nataša will also be with me first week of August.

1. I’m very forgetful so I always make a list, in my journal or on plain paper. When I pack thing that are on the list, I just erase them or cross. This list contains everything. From books and maps to clothing and shoes.

2. Pack about four-three days before leaving so you aren’t stressing about forgetting things. Even if you forget something – you have few more days to pack it.

I found cute suitcases you can buy online :

  1. White panelled wheelie suitcase costs £70.00 HERE
  2. White panelled wash bag for £15.00  HERE
  3. Pink floral suitcase is £70.00 HERE
  4. White embroidered suitcase is £70.00 HERE
  5. Black embroidered suitcase costs £70.00 HERE

3. In small bag, which you will be able to carry it around and keep it close to you, put your most important things .

  • Passport
  • Personal ID
  • Phone, charger and headphones
  • Health insurance cards
  • Transportation tickets
  • Emergency contacts (If something happens to your phone)
  • Wallet
  • Glasses/Sunglasses
  • Hand sanitizer

To me, these are the most important stuff I can’t go without.

4. Start packing you clothes. First, see the forecast. Even if it is hot as hell, I always take few shirts with long sleeves and long jeans. On the bottom of the suitcase, I pack thing I won’t wear much. It is good to separate socks/underwear/swimsuits from shirts/jeans, just beacuse it is easier for you to find them. Separate them in small plastic bags or bags that come with suitcases.

5.  Make sure to pack up all of your accessories. Sunglasses, phone cases, jewellery, hats…

6. Pack your smaller bags in larger bags. It will help you a lot with saving space in suitcase.

7. Take your bathroom essentials in toiletry bag. Pack suff like toothbrush, toothpaste,
hair brushes, hair ties, bobby pins, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, sunscreen, makeup remover wipes, razor blades, tampons, pads and everything you need.

8. Put makeup in other toiletry bag. This is very important because if you eyeshadow brakes and opens you’ll have makeup on literally everything. I tie my brushes with rubber band and put it in smaller bag inside my makeup bag. I do this with eyeshadows, brushes, lipsticks, nail polishes…

9. Pack your shoes, heels and slippers in another plastic bag.

10. Other needed stuff are :

  • small sewing kits
  • pain relievers
  • insect repellent
  • travel journal and pen
  • games
  • camera

Have a great trip!

Nataša and I were in Slovenian capital city about two months ago.

Ljubljana, is the capital and largest city of Slovenia.During antiquity, it was the site of a Roman city called Emona. It was under Habsburg rule from the Middle Ages until the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918.

As you can see, Ljubljana is town on a beautiful river called Ljubljanica and you can even go on one hour cruise, for 8€! On first and last picture I photographed Preserens square, which is actually very cool! Students, families, friends and elders are hanging around, on this huge church stairway, you can find them literally sitting on floor, drawing/talking…

One more thing that I adore about this city are people. They are all nice, talkative and very friendly. Also, bridge with locks is so beautiful! You can’t see it on a picture, but it has glass floor and under it is Ljubljanica. It is way too awesome.

On pictures below, you can see me catching balloons and playing with kids. Probably the best thing about this trip.

One more thing to do in Ljubljana is to go see Ljubljana Castle. The view is absolutely breath-taking and it is reall worth it! There are two ways getting there, walking uphill, which is about 20 minutes or taking a funicular, it takes about 2 minutes. My recommendation is to walk, because funicular costs 3€ for both ways which is not actually a lot, but if you are student and you’re broke, that 3€ are everything. Also, it is healthier walking, so I’m for that!

One more recommendation. If you are going to Ljubljana in May, put on shorts or a skirt, because it was hell in this shirt and long jeans.

When we got up, we could never assume it was so huge. There was cafe, exhibition, and a lot of other fun things.

I assume this exhibition was not always there. Basically, it was exhibition about ‘under the surface of the Earth’, volcanoes. All of this paintings were so colorful and interesting, and that is why I was so thrilled seeing this exhibition.

Next thing we went to see penitentiary, which was so awesome and we could enter dungeons! The thing I didn’t like about this castle was that for a lot of thing you have to pay. Like the viewpoint, powder mill, Erasmus tower and many other.

After visiting the city market, we were so hungry and decided to eat in cute restoraunt right next to the river, and bridge with locks. We sat in a beautiful small restoraunt called ‘Most’ which is translated to English as ‘Bridge’. We ordered cabernet sauvignon, dry red which was per glass 3€, Nataša was eating creme brulee which was so good and I ordered barley risotto with octopus, shrimps, artichokes and cherry tomatoes. It was all delicious, and we paid that around 20€ which isn’t very cheap, but then again it wasn’t expensive.

Last thing we went to was Hiža Eksperimentov or House of Experiments. It was fun doing all of experiments which were actually very educational! First thing, you get a book with all of the experiments explained. I would be so lost with it, so it really helps. I was so amused and didn’t even notice the second floor, but the time has expired (usually one hour) so we had to go. I loved all of the experiments so I highly recommend going there! The staff was more than polite and girls were willing to help.Take you kids/friends/siblings and go and have fun!  You can check everything out on their page .

Ljubljana is the city that impressed me so much, and I can’t wait to go back again!

Personally, autumn is the best season. Because I love Stanely Horowitz’s quote :

“Winter is etching, spring is watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all.”

Because it is simply amazing.

My little brother and I went on a long walk, which was amazing.

IMG_3868 IMG_3872

My little sunshine looks like he is bothered because he has to take cute pictures with me but #brothersistergoals. Also, I don’t know if you can see it, but I pierced my ear this week, and it wasn’t that painful as I thought it would be.

IMG_3880 IMG_3910

The thing I will miss the most when I move out of my city, is this park. It’s mostly consisted out of broken swings and motteled benches, but you can see it’s magic escpecially in autumn and winter. It is basically perfect for first kisses, and last goodbye-s.

IMG_3914 IMG_3915 IMG_3925 IMG_3928 IMG_3934 IMG_3939 IMG_3945 IMG_3948 IMG_3952 IMG_3958 IMG_3965 IMG_3972

When I saw my brother happy, playing in pile of leaves, I saw that child innocence in him. He doesn’t know what is waiting for him in life, and he seems like he doesn’t care, which I like. If it happens, it happens. Why overthink over small things?

IMG_3980 IMG_3989

I’m wearing : BERSHKA yellow jacket and brown jeans, also small BERSHKA black purse and glasses, ESPRIT watch and DEICHMAN boots.

See you in next post, I hope very soon!🙂

Pumpkin festival is the most famous event in small city I live next to, called Ivanic Grad.

DAY ONE – we were going out, and people in Croatia go out on Saturday, while people in USA go out on Friday. Originally, I wanted to go out with sloppy but cute updo, but I gave up on that idea. I went out with like 10+ guys, and me as the only girl. I seriously don’t know what was I wearing, if you want to know comment down below and I will answer you after I check it out.

DAY TWO – Today, I went for a day walk though the city with my older sister Eleonora, and little brother Roko.

IMG_2961 IMG_2962 IMG_2969 IMG_2971

Seriously, I am in love with this pre-halloween decorations.

IMG_2977 IMG_2981 IMG_2987 IMG_2996 IMG_3010 IMG_3012

Of course, we bought something, which I’ll show in my next post.

IMG_3013 IMG_3014

We also asked this fun lady dressed in pumpkin to take photo with us. After that, we went on exhibition called ‘Pumpkintown’. It was about diy pumpkin decorations, and I was thrilled to see that.

I also had to go to this bumpy car ride with my little brother, and to be honest it was actually fun.

And for the end of this post, here are two selfies from my sister, brother and me.

One-day trip to Austria was first time I am traveling with my bestfriend abroad. As soon as we got in Klagenfurt, we started to visit all sights. I think the thing I liked the most in Klagenfurt were legends. One of them is about The Wotheresee Mandl. It celebrates the lengend about the creation of Lake Wothersee.

Briefly, he was a small man who twice admonished the drunkard inhabitants of a small city that was said to be where the Wothersee now is. He was laughed at and ignored, so he opened the tap on the keg he was carrying. An endless floe of water came out and flooded the city till only the lake remained. If you hold his finger, it will bring you luck, so I tried it.

IMG_1745 IMG_1746

First of all, I would like to apogize for looking terrible, but from wendsday till sunday I got like just 15 hours of sleep, and I was so tired. So yeah, that’s why I look sick.

The Lindwurm fountain, representing the Lindwurm dragon, about to be slayed by Hercules, is located in the center of Klagenfurt, on the Neuer Platz. The Lindwurm sculpture hails from the 16th century, the Hercules figure was added in the 17th century. It has been adopted by the Klagenfurt council as the symbol of Klagenfurt. It is near Maria Theresia statue, which we also noticed and got picture of it.

IMG_1751 IMG_1761 IMG_1772IMG_1779

City Arkaden is the leading shopping mall in the region. It has all the name brands in clothing together with several dedicated local brands in Austrian clothing. Several restaurants from coffee and a sandwich through to excellent meals, and we visited sushi bar, and ate asian food for the FIRST TIME! Seriously, I don’t know what we were eating but it was so delicious. Also, we drank fruit/vegetable smoothies which I really didn’t like, neither did Natasha, but hey, at least it looks good.

After that, we visited a lot of other statues, fountains and shops, and here are some random pictures from Klagenfurt.

IMG_1795  IMG_1800 IMG_1809 IMG_1810 IMG_1822 IMG_1816 IMG_1842 IMG_1861 IMG_1862 IMG_1873 IMG_1892 IMG_1904 IMG_1947 IMG_1964 IMG_1958 IMG_1950 IMG_1973 IMG_1991 IMG_1996 IMG_2003 IMG_2029 IMG_2033 IMG_2053 IMG_2067 IMG_2068 IMG_2072 IMG_2082 IMG_2083

I bet you are wondering what I bought (actually not, but nevermind), I got cute little pink-beige wallet for 13€. After that, it took us about 5 minutes to Minimundus, mini landmarks of all around the world.

IMG_2102 IMG_2107 IMG_2120 IMG_2131 IMG_2142 IMG_2153 IMG_2164 IMG_2157

This curly lady is my mother, and she is duck-facing me.

IMG_2222 IMG_2223

Then, we went in Velden, cute little town on Worthersee, huge lake in Austria.

IMG_2226 IMG_2227

We basically sat on hot chocholate, tea and cake instead ordering a beer because there was Oktoberfest. The best thing is that we don’t drink beer, at all.

I was wearing huge H&M scarf, ESPRIT watch, basic beige shirt, black jeans and TIMBERLAND cozy shoes.

Yesterday’s trip was literally #bestfriendgoals and I can’t wait next one.

Goodbye everyone, and I’ll *see* you in my next post!🙂

Ever since I’m in high school, I completely forgot about my blog. High school is very different, but fun. I meet a lot of awesome people and it seriously is a great experience. So, sorry for that.

IMG_1256 IMG_1257  IMG_1259IMG_1262

Basically here I wore regular white jeans which you can buy everywhere (I don’t really know where they are from, and cute white shirt with a lot of details on the backside where you can find here. I don’t have a clue where is the bag from, but the black jacket is from ROBERTO MODA, and my boyfriend bought me it. He is seriously the best. White oxfords are just basic shoes where you can find here. You can’t see it but I was wearing the best perfume ever (!!) and it is Bvlgari omnia amethyste.  Sunglasses are my sister’s and they are Ralph Lauren.

IMG_1264 IMG_1267 IMG_1268 IMG_1269 IMG_1272   IMG_1279 IMG_1280 IMG_1281   IMG_1290 IMG_1300

Also, wearing my all-time favourite esprit watch.  Thank you all for reading, and I really hope you like my posts! If you do, make sure to like, comment, follow or share it. See you in next post, bye!

Baška is seriously heaven on the earth. Even though I had wifi every third day when I went on coffee/dinner etc. Skin got darker, hair got lighter. Water got warmer, drinks got colder. Everything gets better there.

IMG_0494   IMG_0505 IMG_0503IMG_0501

On my mom’s birthday, we wnt on a fancy dinner in great restoraunt called ‘Lantino’.

IMG_0560 IMG_0561

These are some of the meals we ate that night, and damn, it was delicious!

IMG_0664  IMG_0666 IMG_0667  IMG_0669 IMG_0670    IMG_0674 IMG_0675

I can’t wait to go there again, maybe with friends, maybe with sister or parents. A lot of memories were made here, and if you offer me Hawaiian villa instead of my little house in Baška, I wouldn’t accept it. Because it is par of my life, part of me.

I would never get bored of people which I know my whole life, the sea or the cliffs. Another thing I just adore is the streets.

IMG_0690 IMG_0691 IMG_0692   IMG_0695  IMG_0697

That is it for this post, I really hope you liked it! Next post will be also about Baška, but about trip to the moon (weird right?). See you, bye!
